CTIE 2026: Experts from the V4 Region Discussed the Future of Generation Z Education

12.3.2025

At the end of March (March 23–24, 2026), the High Tatras became a meeting point for experts in education from across the V4 region. The first edition of the international scientific conference Challenges, Trends, and Inspirations in Education (CTIE) took place at Hotel Hills in Stará Lesná, organized by the Faculty of Social and Economic Relations of Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín.

The conference was one of the key outputs of the international V4 project “How Generation Z perceives access to education and capacities in the V4 region.” The project is led by Assoc. Prof. Adriana Grenčíková, with Ing. Kristína Kozová serving as Deputy Principal Investigator.

The event brought together approximately 80 participants from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary, including representatives of all partner institutions involved in the project: Rzeszow University of Technology, University of Szczecin, Mendel University in Brno, AMBIS University, University of Žilina, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, and University of Pannonia.

The conference provided a valuable platform for academic discussion and knowledge exchange on the evolving nature of education in the context of Generation Z. The program addressed a wide range of current topics, including value orientation, innovative teaching methods, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and the preparedness of education systems for future challenges.

The second day of the conference was dedicated to parallel sessions, where researchers presented their findings on topics such as the role of digital technologies in education, labor market readiness, and the expectations and preferences of Generation Z.

An important part of the conference was also networking, which facilitated the exchange of ideas and strengthened international cooperation among participating institutions.

Special thanks go to the entire organizing team for their dedication and contribution to the successful implementation of the conference.
