The First Online Meeting of the V4 Project Revealed Ambitious Goals for the Modernization of Education for Generation Z
12.3.2025
On February 27, 2025, the first-ever online meeting of the international project “How Generation Z Perceives Access to Education and Capacities in the V4 Region”, supported by the V4 fund, took place. Representatives from universities in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary discussed the shared vision of the project, which aims to enhance the understanding of the young generation’s educational needs.
What Happened at the Meeting?
Discussion on Project GoalsThe central topic was the effort to contribute to the modernization of the education system in the V4 region in line with the expectations of Generation Z. The project focuses on:
- Improving access to education through an analysis of barriers and opportunities.
- Strengthening professional networks among educational institutions.
- Supporting innovative teaching methods, including the integration of technology.
- Developing policy recommendations based on research and data.
Another key point was a detailed discussion on the structure of the questionnaire, which focuses on two main areas:
- Education and Development: Evaluation of teaching methods, the role of technology, and space for creativity and flexibility.
- Capacity Crisis in Education: Analysis of teacher shortages, infrastructure quality, practical education, and international cooperation.
Participants agreed on a timeline for the next steps, including the finalization of the questionnaire by the end of March 2025. This will be followed by data collection in the four countries and subsequent analysis.
This project represents a unique opportunity to connect the perspective of Generation Z with concrete steps in the educational policies of the four V4 countries. Through international collaboration, experience exchange, and thorough research, we aim to build a bridge between current challenges and the future of education—one that is accessible, modern, and aligned with the dynamic needs of the 21st century.
